We planted a small woodland of 418 trees in Haughton. The local residents voted on the name Halton Halt.
The plan was to have a big community day for this and get lots of local residents to help us plant. However, at the time the country was on the verge of lockdown due to Covid-19 so with a few dedicated volunteers, we were able to plant the woodland a few days earlier than planned just to get them in the ground.
A local resident was walking her dog nearby. The dog came over, really just for one of us to throw his ball. Then the owner came over. Then she planted a tree in memory of her Dad and then adopted that tree with a little stone.
